About Python

Python is available from www.python.org. Python is an open-source, dynamic, object-oriented language that is flexible, easy to use and has some excellent libraries available. Python is used on small and large projects by companies such as NASA, Astra Zeneca and BAT Systems. There is a more detailed list available at the home of Python.

Python is cross-platform and runs on Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, Nokia smartphones and many other operating systems. It can be extended or embedded in C/C++, Delphi or Java.
